Frequently Asked Questions
How long do the tattoos last?
On average three to five days. They last longer on dry skin than on oily
skinand they won't last as long if they get rubbed by your clothing.
How long do I have to wait for the ink to dry?
The ink will be dry on your skin in about three minutes.
Do I need to do anything special to my skin before applying
the ink?
No, but your skin should be clean, dry and free from oils or moisturizer for
longest lasting results.
Are the inks safe for use on sensitive skin?
Yes. All the inks are water-based and of cosmetic quality. In the very unlikely
event of irritation, the ink should be washed off immediately with soap and
water.
How do I remove a tattoo when I want to?
By gently rubbing it with a face cloth and soap and water. ForNow ink doesn't
stain your skin, it stays on the surface so it can be rubbed off without a trace
when you want to remove it.
Does that mean that the tattoo will come off in the
shower?
Not if you don't want it to. The ink becomes very water resistant when it
dries, so you can safely shower as long as you don't rub your tattoo when it
is wet.
Will the tattoo will come off if I go swimming?
Not unless you rub it while it is wet.
How many tattoos can I create using the different types
of inks?
It depends on the design of course, but approximately 20 from a Sparkle Tattoo
pen and about 120 from a Classic Tattoo Dauber.
Can I re-use the stencils?
Yes. Simply replace the used stencil on its backing sheet and carefully wipe
it clean with a damp cloth. J-cloths are ideal. Be careful not to wet the sticky
side of the stencil.
How many times can I re-use a stencil before it loses its stickiness?
It varies, but typically four or five times, sometimes more.
What's the difference between the Sparkle stick and
the Classic stick?
The Sparkle colours have a very fine glitter in them, which makes them sparkle
as they catch the light. Classic ink is either Pearlescent (shimmering) or Standard
(matt) finish.
Do they work the same way?
The Sparkle colours are supplied with the ink already in the sponge tip ready
for use. The Classic Tattoo Daubers contain much more ink, which comes in a
tube that you squeeze onto the sponge tip as you need it.
How do I make multi-coloured designs?
Easy! Just dab each colour on separately, starting with the lightest colours.
Make sure you have inked the complete design before you remove the stencil.
